Baptism In Blue (2004) Opens with an apt song from the man from the windy city, Born In Chicago, a good old Chicago blues tune with loads of harp. Fine start. The album of cover songs from some greats as John Lee Hooker, Albert King, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Slim Harpo & Elmore James to a slightly more modern interpreters such as J. J. Cale, Paul Butterfield & The Stones. Over all 14 classic songs delivered by a guy "baptised in the blues" makes this a great listen! Rude Dog puts his own stamp on the songs with original vocals & sound. Rating - 4.25. |
