I'll start with a bit of background, the 1970's for me was all hard and heavy rock, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Purple & Uriah Heap, my only digressions were Neil Young albums, acoustic and rocking songs, became a fan for life. As for Ronnie Lane it was the song The Poacher that got my attention, heard it on the radio, this was before I got into The Faces music.
Anyhoo I digress, only owning 20 to 30 vinyl albums at the time, there was a lot of repeat plays for the usual rock records including Neil Young's mix of rock, country, acoustic & loud guitars, the only album I had that was mainly "unplugged" was Anymore For Anymore. When needing quieter moments this was my goto record, it may not be the best, but as all album deficient music fans of the 70's can appreciate a bond was forged for life by playing both sides on the turntable and the repeating side one & two!
