Hoping there's a lot of tongue in cheek with the narrative & lyrics, if not it's very weird! A progressive rock conceptional album based sub-sea with marine life attacking L.A. and other ocean related subjects. Sponge Bob horror or B Movie from the 50's soundtrack? The strange thing for me is their sound, it's amazing, fantastic riffs, tunes and musicianship, seems a lot of work for a joke. |

Been listening to MM since the 1990's, thought I'd check out his latest release Heaven Upside Down, then added Born Villain to my collection, now 11 albums, still missing The High End Of Low (2009).
Still enjoy the music and his cutting lyrics, both albums are very good, more plays needed before rating. Both albums have their moments, let down by some songs that are a throwback to the 1980's Pop Rock. Good if you like that genre, just not hard rockin' & raw for me, still enjoyable though!
