It has been 4 years since Grammy nominated and number 1 Billboard Blues album Seesaw was released by singer-songwriter and blues-rock powerhouse Beth Hart and guitar hero Joe Bonamassa. Since then, they have both been on fire, both in the studio and live. So, the time was perfect to reunite for another collection of ten soul gems that encompass Hart’s breath-taking vocals and Joe’s masterfully expressive playing. Black Coffee will be released on January 26th, 2018.

Preview of my latest albums to be rated & reviewed in September.
Note - Two of the artists Kill It Kid & Gina Sicilia are known to me, then had one of my "discovery moments" and downloaded 3 albums from two bands that are completely unknown to me, My Baby & The Downtown Train. Strayed from the usual genres of Rock & Blues which has seen some disasters in the past, will have to wait and see if this was another waste of money or a great musical find?

Will be missed. Might do a tribute mix of my favourite tracks, updates will be posted on my Blog.

Great music from Thomas Wynn, Olivia Wynn & The Believers.
New project - making compilation albums with tracks from Album Of The Month. Volume 1 = 2014, the first full year I rated my monthly additions. The tracks are just a random selection of music I like, 1 taken from each of the 12 Album of the Month winners.
Started with 2016, Volume 3, now complete, working backwards to 2014. Really enjoying the music from my top rated albums.
Update, Volume 2 - 2015 & Volume 1 - 2014 now completed. Blog for track listings. 31/05/17.

Added a bit of retro-rock from Chicken Shack - Unlucky Boy (1973) & The Very Best Of Chicken Shack.
Preview - Downloaded what I thought was an early Thunder album, wrong they were a German rock band with a self titled record, not bad but no match to THUNDER UK style.
Latest added to NEW!
- Another sultry new release from Mark Lanegan Band - Gargoyle, like his deep vocals, been a fan since the grunge of Screaming Trees through his solo records to Mad Season and all the others.

An amazing amount of music bought and played in the last 5 years. Go to Years at top of page to look at past blogs from 2012 - 2017. First album to be posted in April 2012, Ace Moorland - Keeping A Secret. No reviews in those early days, that came later. 03/02/2017 - Black Sabbath to play their final show in Birmingham UK. Full story on BBC News - www.bbc.co.uk/news
The first band I'd seen LIVE, back in 1974 at the Odeon Edinburgh, the first album I ever bought, Black Sabbath 4. Call me a fan.
As I have most of their early records with the original lineup & a few with later lineups, was inspired to download the 1983 album Born Again a mix of Sabbath & Deep Purple with Ian Gillan on vocals. Works really well, also included are live bonus tracks with Purple & Sabbath songs, well worth a play.
Another addition is the self titled debut album from Ordos (2013). Swedish stoner rock. Blog (March) for more info on both.
