Hard To Bleed (2015) Hard to Bleed is his debut album which was released January 29th. With lot of hard rock tracks, this is an album full of power and attitude. (from Amazon) A first for me, a Portuguese rock artist, Phill Rocker has loads of guests playing on his new record, but there is a flaw, it's not very good! Musically OK, vocals and songs suck a bit. One of the best British power rock bands, EVER! Their debut is a classic all 10 tracks are brilliant. Rating 4.90. Bang (2008) Slightly let down by Bang, the first three tracks are too "pop rock" for my liking. What saves the record is the hard rocking tunes, great guitar & vocals, worth a play for the standout tracks of Retribution, Have Mercy, Turn Left At California, Love Sucks & an acoustic song One Bullet. Rating 4.00. A Christmas Cracker (2009) Thunder live at Rock City, playing their own songs with a few covers thrown in, the surprise is the acoustic unplugged sound on the first seven tracks, which really works well. Back to normal on track 8 Loser, loud electric rock. The covers include The Joker, The Great Gig In The Sky, Paint It Black, The Boys Are Back In Town, You Can Leave Your Hat On and my fav Free's Wishing Well. Great live recording. Rating 4.25. Laughing On Judgement Day (1991) The difficult second album, does it work? Mostly, but there are few more "pop rock" songs spoiling the album eg. Everybody Wants Her, then the next song Low Life In High Places is amazing. Overall I enjoyed the album and with more plays it will get even better. Rating 4.15. Behind Closed Doors 1994) Another powerful early album, after playing all five albums, I've come to the conclusion they can do no wrong, even the "pop rock" tracks are OK it was the 90's. From the start I have been impressed with the songs on Behind Closed Doors, been playing them loud and they are rocking, quieter moments are provided by acoustic tracks as 'til The River Runs Dry, an excellent song. Eleven class Thunder songs. Rating 4.50.
