Take Me To The Alley (Deluxe Edition)(2016)
Genre - Jazz, Soul, Blues, Vocal.
Web - http://www.gregoryporter.com/
My Rating - 4.60.
Notes - Another exceptional collection of music.
My only con is the Deluxe Edition is too long, 16 tracks, could have cut a few fillers.
Overall it's mostly soulful jazz, liking most of it.

Genre - Indie, Alternative Rock.
Web - mythic-sunship-ouroboros-lp
My Rating - 3.50.
Notes - Short instrumental album only 3 tracks, duration 40 minutes. Has a feel of Hawkwind meets early Pink Floyd. Ok record if in the mood for something a bit different.

Do Whatcha Do (2008)
Genre - Retro Hard Rock
Web - http://www.coldtruth.net/
My Rating - 4.00.
Notes - Not as good as Grindstone (2016), which is an amazing album of 70's sounds.
Not retro enough, has an 80's feel, good but lacks the hard rockin' tunes of the 70's.

Trilogy Volumes 1 to 3 (2016)
Genre - Rock, Blues.
Web - http://anapopovic.com/home

Notes - Has it's outstanding moments, my fave is Train (Featuring Joe Bonamassa). Full review from the 3 CD's, 23 tracks in all by G. E. Harrison below.

By G. E. Harrison TOP 500 REVIEWER on 17 Jun. 2016
This is a very ambitious project, a box set of three CDs - R&B produced by Warren Riker, blues produced by Tom Hambridge and Cody Dickinson and finally jazz produced by Delfeayo Marsalis, with Serbian born, Memphis-based Ana's vocals and guitar featuring in all genres. The album was recorded in Memphis, New Orleans, Nashville and Orlando. We also get guest stars including guitarist Joe Bonamassa, steel guitarist Robert Randolph and rapper Al Kapone, as well as a band featuring amongst others veteran drummer Bernard Purdie, bass player George Porter Jr. and Ivan Neville on keyboards.

"Love You Tonight" is a great way to start, a funky rocker with great brass and a tricky blues guitar solo from Ana, the next three tracks are in the same vein but slow soul blues "Train" featuring Joe Bonamassa is a nice contrast with a typically fizzing solo from Joe. CD2 is probably closest to Ana's normal material, rawer than disk 1 with the high lights for me being the blistering guitar instrumental "Who's Your Mamma?" and "Crying For Me" with Ana playing slide, it's starts off acoustic and I think it should have carried on like that to produce a contrast with the rest of the more raucous material.

However, the real eye opener for me was disc 3 - recorded in New Orleans it has a more relaxed Crescent City vibe and Ana's vocals are more subtle but with the power when needed. Duke Ellington's "In a Sentimental Mood" is excellent and also Billie Holiday's "You Don't Know What Love Is", indeed I enjoyed all the tracks on disk 3, although I'm not really jazz fan.

It's certainly impressive (and brave) that Ana can tackle all these different types of material but I'm afraid that I didn't think there were enough good songs on disks 1 and 2 to match the jazz standards on disk 3 but it does make for 23 tracks of a nice variety.

Intriguing music, modern opera. Great version of the Bond thyme, Gold Finger.
