Bang Bang Boom Boom will be released on October 8 2012. Just been listening to Paul Jones on iPlayer where he played her new single Baddest Blues, hope the album is as good as the single! Check out the title track at, http://www.bethhart.com/ http://www.facebook.com/officialbethhart Latest downloads to the collection. Baba Jack - Rooster Acoustic blues, a real find, loved it after the first hearing. Lazer Lloyd - My Own Blues Excellent rock blues. Etta Britt - Out Of Season An eclectic feel with a touch of blues very much like Joss Stone. The General Store - Somewhere In The Middle 10 tracks of rock blues in akin to ZZ Top. German rockers with a blues feel, their 2012 release "A Bit Of Devil" is well worth a listen, check out the band at, http://www.zodiac-rock.de/ Excellent album, 8 solid tracks of good songs, was impressed! Keb Mo - Suitcase
Joss Stone - Mind Body & Soul John Mayall - Blues For The Lost Big Pete Pearson - I'm Here Baby More guitar based blues rock with Michael Burk's new album 'Show Of Strength', recorded earlier this year, is absolutely bursting with the white-hot intensity that made Burks one of the greatest bluesmen of his generation. His sudden death in May of this year robbed the blues world of one of its brightest stars. A powerhouse performer, Michael Burks was one of the blues' top live draws, headlining festivals all over the world. His records were equally celebrated, with his last release, 2008's 'Iron Man', called "a knockout" by Mojo magazine and "exceptional, exquisite and wicked" in Billboard. 'Show Of Strength' is Michael Burks at his peak, exploding with fierce, gritty guitar work and smoky, soul-charged singing. From the fiery opener, "Count On You," to the majestic closer, Charlie Rich's "Feel Like Going Home," it's shot through and through with the immense strength and spirit of this modern-day blues hero. After watching BBB at Rockplast on youtube (link below) went and downloaded 3 albums, Smokehouse Sessions, Messenger Of The Blues & the self titled Blindside Blues Band.
A quote from a review on Amazon - "Think of your fave heavy rock band doing a blues cover and you won't be far off the mark here." |
